Smartphones off late have become an all touch screen affair. Given the versatility of touch screens over physical buttons, it is but a natural course of evolution that manufacturers have removed physical buttons.
However, there are times when we prefer physical buttons over the touch screen, camera shutter for example. The feed back they give being one of the reasons. Pressy, a new Kickstarter project that wants to bring you an extra button.
A small device that simply plugs into your 3.5 mm jack. Sitting on top is a little clickable button. This button can be customized to perform nearly any function of your choice. So what all can Pressy do?
Pressy only works on Android for now as it is of course a more open and versatile OS compared to iOS. Android allows products like these to be able to control the device, iOS doesn’t unless it has already been approved by Apple directly. Watch the video to know what the fuss is all about!
Pressy went live on 28th August on Kickstarter and has already raised twice the amount it needed. The project has got until the 14th of October so it will most likely raise hundreds of thousands in funding.
