Samsung has officially announced the launch of two additional phones in the Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and Galaxy S WiFi 5.0. The speculations around the phones have been doing the run for a while; however, the official announcement has finally been made. The two phones have been launched and have some very similar features.
The features that are common between the two phones include the following:
- Android 2.2 Froyo
- 1GHz processor
- 8 GB, 16 GB options
- microSD card slot (up to 32GB)
- VGA camera (front)
- resolution of 800 x 480 pixels
- Audio formats supported: MP3, WMA9, Ogg, Flac, AAC
- GPS
- Wifi 802.11 (b/g/n)
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- stereo speaker
- Stereo FM Radio
- Accelerometer
- Digital compass
However, there are some differences between the two versions of the phone and they include the following:
- The screen size:
4.0: 4-inch screen, with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
5.0: 5-inch screen, with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, WVGA TFT LCD.
- Battery:
4.0: 1200mAh battery
5.0: 2500mAh battery
- Camera:
4.0: 3.2-megapixel cameras (back)
5.0: 3.2-megapixel cameras (back) with LED Flash
- Features:
4.0: Accelerometer, Digital Compass, Proximity, and Light sensor
5.0: Accelerometer, and Digital Compass
